fredericksburg engagement

Will & Leisha | Fredericksburg Engagement Photographer

When I heard these two has gotten engaged, I was so giddy for them! Will is the brother to my college roommate, Sarah. I was in Sarah’s wedding last summer and I brought along the Snapshot Studio as a part of our gift for her wedding. That night, Will and Leisha became the subjects of some of my FAVORITE pictures ever taken in the Snapshot Studio. Seriously - look how adorable they are!!

So, when Sarah contacted me about their wedding I immediately jumped at the opportunity to get them in front of my lens! :) We got together about a week ago and they just turned up the cuteness while I snapped away. It was a chilly day, but the sun was shining and they were glowing in their love for one another. They are getting married so soon! This coming weekend, actually! The anticipation in the air reminded me of those last few months of my engagement to Tommy. There is nothing that gets me more excited for a couple than when I can see, feel, and truly understand the thoughts that are passing through their minds as they cuddle up to one another and recall the days, moments, and kisses that brought them to this day.

Breathtaking. And these two… they have it. That spark that takes your breath away. Love them. Love these pictures.

Justin & Liz | Northern Virginia Wedding Photographer

I met up with Justin & Liz last weekend for their engagement session in downtown Fredericksburg. Shooting in the cold is always a little bit of a challenge, but these two were such great sports about  it. We were able to take a break from the session halfway through to warm up while also grabbing a bite to eat. Then we went back out to the streets of downtown Fredericksburg for an available light session. I love it when clients are willing to go for the available light shoot after dark! I think the low-light feel adds the perfect touch of romanticism to the whole session. :)

Here are a few of my favorites from our time together. I am so looking forward to their wedding this fall!

Sneak Peek: Daniela and Zach | Fredericksburg Engagement Photographer

These two kicked off my 2010 Fall Season with an amazing session! :) So I am currently on the road for 10 days for two weddings and six sessions on the calendar. As you can imagine, my calendar is pretty packed. When Daniela texted me the night before her session and asked me what we should do if it rained, I had to go with my only option. I hesitantly suggested a session in the rain and to my surprise, they were totally up for it! We all came prepared with rubber boots, umbrellas, and extra changes of clothing. However, the rain moved on at the last minute and we had an absolutely gorgeous evening and a quiet location all to ourselves.

I couldn't have asked for a better way to start this super busy few weeks! Daniela and Zach, thanks for being so easy to work with and so willing to do what I asked. I can't wait for your wedding next May!
