My goal as a photographer is to gift you with the moments that pulled you through — the milestones, the laughs, the toothless grins — so that in five, ten, twenty years, you will look back at this season with assured fondness.

The Experience

I believe each baby's smile, laugh and discoveries are sprinkles of joy gifted to parents to help pull them through the long days and sleepless nights.

These moments are some of the best in life. Why not capture them for forever keeping?

I treasure the opportunity to capture these moments for you to keep forever. Each stage of life brings about new expressions, experiences and personality for our kids. I help you remember the “too-cute-for-words” smile your child is wearing today for life.

Clients say...

I am so over the moon thrilled. These are so great I can't even express my gratitude and how happy these make me. Thank you! — Emily Davis, 2016

I LOVE THEM ALL!!!!! How will I ever pick???  I so appreciate all your hard work and special eye behind the camera! Can't tell you how much I love them. :) — Schuyler Somers, 2015

We had the honor of Liz recently doing our newborn pictures in her studio. We did a family style session with our 18 month old. The experience was wonderful! Liz is so kind and personal yet also professional and brilliant! Her studio and props are beautiful and we could not be more pleased with our pictures! The experience was unlike any other! Liz came to our home to show us the pictures and help us pick out our favorites. I've never met a professional that is so kind and personal. We would totally have her photograph our special occasions again! - Ashley G., 2015

I can't begin to tell you how wonderful the images are that you captured. They are absolutely beautiful. And looking back, it seemed effortless to me. I look forward to more sessions with you in the future. — April Lukowski, 2015

Frequently asked questions

I am interested in a newborn session, do you use any sort of typical props?

I value providing my clients with timeless portraits that can be cherished for generations. I do my best to avoid current trends and stay focused on photographing beautiful and authentic moments. My newborn session approach is more about capturing this connection between the new baby and parents in an intimate, modern style. I ask that my clients refrain from newborn costumes and I rarely use props outside of small accessories and wraps.

I am interested in both a maternity and newborn session, do you offer kind of discount or package deal?

Yes I do! When reserved at the same time, I offer a 20% discount when my clients reserve more than 3 sessions in an 18 month period.

I AM concerned about my child's nap time and keeping her happy for the session. will you work with us on this?

Absolutely. A custom portrait experience is an investment and it is a priority that your babies are as happy as possible during our time together. For this reason, I have studio session times available during mid-day while on-location sessions are best shot early in the morning or about an hour before sunset. This variety offers the opportunity to work around your children's nap schedules and meal times.

When you say that you photograph in “natural light,” does this mean you only do sessions outside?

Natural light photography means that I do not use any sort of flashes or artificial lighting. Being a natural light photographer means that I photograph outdoors, or indoors near a clean window space.

What is a Personalized Ordering Session? Don’t you just send me a link to download the digital pictures?

While I do send a download link following your session, it is my desire to to provide clients with a more personal client experience. I have found that when I work with my clients on a personal level and am able to provide the full customer experience, my work itself benefits from the extra tender loving care. I believe in celebrating your treasured relationships through tangible, custom photography. This includes a variety of fine art products to display and gift your images with. Rather then leave you to figure out an often overwhelming online gallery for my own convenience, I desire to take the experience a step further by providing an optional, personalized ordering session.

Before you book, I highly suggest we meet together either in-person or over the phone to discuss your hopes and plans for your custom photography experience. I have a brief questionnaire that all my clients fill out prior to our session together. It is really important to me that I know we are a good fit, as I want all my clients to have an incredible experience.

After you have filled out the questionnaire and we have met, then we can discuss dates and times for your session. It is at this time that I will accept payment for your session fee. I accept payments by check, credit card, and/or PayPal. Session dates are not reserved until the contract is signed and fee is paid.

Absolutely! This is something we discuss during your pre-session consultation either in-person or over the phone. We will talk about all the details of your session including outfit choices, the best time of day for your session, and my approach to photographing you and your family. Every client also has the option of using the studio wardrobe as well. It is my hope that clients arrive to their session already feeling like we are great friends, and knowing exactly what to expect.

Let me assure you, all of the clients I work with are professional models. Just kidding. None of them are. :) So please don't worry about your lack of modeling experience! I first approach portrait sessions with minimal posing. If and when necessary, I will step in and guide my clients when needed. However, I have learned over time that my best work comes from the small, in-between moments, when my clients don’t feel as though they have been posed. I prefer to stand back and photograph from the outside as much as possible. I do everything I can to create a relaxed, pressure free atmosphere. Clients come to my sessions to spend time together with loved ones, often forgetting that they are being photographed at all.
