Hill City Brides! | Lynchburg Wedding Vendor

Brides! I have had SUCH a hard time keeping my mouth shut about this awesome new resource that has been in the works for a little while now.

Hill City Bride is a new blog that will be debuting this spring (as in just a FEW WEEKS!). This is a MUST VISIT for all Lynchburg (and surrounding area) brides. We are finally going to have a wedding blog that is tailored specifically for brides in our area! I am so excited! I know the team behind Hill City Bride has been working hard preparing it to be one of the leading resources for brides in this area. You will definitely be missing out if you don't visit regularly after it debuts!

Be sure to become a fan on Facebook and follow the team on Twitter so you can be the first to know when the blog debuts! And don't worry, I am sure I will be blogging about the debut, too. ;)

my cup overflows | lynchburg commercial art photographer

I am feeling so blessed today.

My windows are open, the sun is shining. I have some of the most wonderful people in my life. I absolutely love my job and how it is teaching me discipline, responsibility and other normal life lessons that I avoided learning until now.

So recently I mentioned on Twitter that I have been working on some commercial work and a "special project." I have been really excited about the opportunity I had to partner with one of the biggest companies in town on some photography work. The project was to take black and white photos of historical sites and landmarks in the area. Lynchburg locals will be able to see 25 of my images enlarged and on display around the new Forest, VA Kroger set to open on April 15th (Woohoo tax day!). As far as I know, the pictures will be up until they decide to update the store when it becomes outdated one day. (One day far, far away from now!)

It was an honor to get to work with such a wonderful company and to dip my hands into a bit of commercial work. One job has already turned into another and I'm having a great time with the assignments I have been given.

The image above was captured while on the historical sites assignment... and can I just say how much  I love my town? I keep trying to talk Tommy into moving away... but then I see an image like the one above and I have to ask myself if I am crazy.

I have been so blessed. My cup is overflowing. :)

I hope ya'll are having a fab day, too!

Out of the office | Lynchburg Engagement Photographer

Okay guys, this week has been exhausting. I didn't have a phone for two days, drove to Staples about 6 times in those two days (ended up with my prints mounted for free + $$ off an external hard drive. whew! patience is rewarding sometimes), my hairdresser cancelled my hair appt and I didn't have a phone to get the news OR to reschedule before this weekend. Lost 1/2 my contacts in the Sprint debacle of 2010. The list goes on. Crazy! But who cares! It's Thursday and my weekend starts RIGHT NOW! I am leaving on a jet plane to go visit my man in New Orleans. This will be our last rendezvous until much later this year, so I am really excited! Before I go, I wanted to give one of my favorite couples a quick sneak peek of their lifestyle engagement session from last weekend. It doesn't even look like winter in these photos, does it? I told them they looked like they stepped out of a J. Crew catalog. Wouldn't you agree?

I'll be back next week and will return all phone calls and emails as quickly as possible.
