I am thrilled to make it website and blog official that we welcomed our precious baby boy on February 4th, 2023 at 12:52AM! Breckinridge Samson Cook arrived in the comfort of our home after just 90 minutes of active labor! Mama and baby are both healthy and I plan to share his birth pictures and the full story soon. For now, I wanted to get his newborn portraits posted while I have a few minutes during nap time! :)

But let’s rewind! During Samantha’s complimentary wardrobe consultation, I was sharing the importance of feeling comfortable in what you wear during a photo session. I mentioned to her that I recently had a family wear pajamas at their session because that is what they felt represented them best as a family. My previous client had said they lounge at home in their PJs and she wanted pictures to reflect that. I loved the idea!
This family holds a special place in my heart! Some of my Santa visitors may recognize Lauren as she often helps me during our Santa Experience weekend! I first met Lauren when her husband, Gerald, bought her a mini session as a gift to capture the season of life when their oldest daughter, Hailey, was just a toddler! Since then (9 years?!), I have had the honor of not only photographing more of their life’s special events, but also growing closer to their family! Our husbands are friends, our children are friends, and we and have even been on a few vacations together. They are truly a gift. <3
