Three Oaks Manor is a small, private venue located in Amherst, VA. With a beautiful greenhouse, a unique cottage, and seasonal touches tailored specifically for photography sessions, your portraits are guaranteed to be beautiful!

The Studio: Formal Holiday
The Studio holiday set up is identical to our Santa sessions set up, sans-Santa. This offers a timeless, traditional back drop to compliment any color theme or holiday clothing you want to wear.
This set up is also perfect for clients whose kids have outgrown Santa but you want to continue the tradition of capturing them each year as they grow.

What is a Mini Session?
Our Mini Sessions are fast, fun, and affordable! Starting at only $375 for a twenty minute session which includes at least 20 high resolution digital images from the session, they are a great value.
These sessions are perfect for families looking for a short, simple and sweet photoshoot. They are limited (only 12 available in 2025) and sell out quickly, so please be prepared when they open for booking!
Most clients choose to use these pictures for their annual holiday card and to update family portraits on their walls, social media accounts, or give as gifts. They are typically 15-20 minutes in length and include as much variety as possible in that short amount of time.
How It Works
Choose the location, date and time that works best for you.
Proceed to checkout to pay your session retainer fee. (Final balance is due in full one week before your session date.)
Receive your session time slot confirmation through email.
Meet for the session! (Plan to arrive 10 minutes early!)
Receive an online gallery of images within 2 weeks of your session.
Use your online gallery to order holiday gifts and prints for your home. Prices are competitive to other online print locations (no crazy up-charges!) and you will receive the highest quality prints possible from your images.

where do you suggest we print our pictures?
We highly recommend ordering your prints directly from your online gallery to guarantee the best color and quality of prints! The prices are competitive to online ordering locations and the printer is one of the best printing companies in the nation. Your online gallery is the only place we can promise you will receive accurate color profiles and archival quality prints from your digital files provided by Liz.
do you give full rights to all of the images?
You will receive a link to download all of your images as well as a Limited Print Release form to use when you print your pictures. A Limited Print Release allows you to download all of the pictures and print them at your preferred print location. However, please note that printing your pictures at other locations may not provide the best color or print quality available. Liz Cook Photography is not responsible for poor prints from printing at outside locations. Liz Cook Photography will retain the full Copyrights which means you are not permitted to alter/edit the images, sell them, or submit them to any publications or contests without prior written approval from Liz Cook Photography.
what should we wear for these pictures?
We recommend choosing comfortable, neutral clothing (as seen in the images above) for the most timeless look to your portraits.
i am afraid 20 minutes won’t be long enough for my family. can we extend the time?
The rates for our 2025 Holiday Mini Sessions are good for our 20 minute mini sessions only. If you think you may need more time (if you want to include extended family members), we recommend you book a Full Signature Session. You may click here to view our current pricing information.
your website says you are fully booked, is there anything we can do?
We sell out every year. We have a cap on our spots, and once this cap is reached, the calendar will close. If you missed out on booking, please e-mail us to join the waitlist. Sometimes we have a family needs to cancel at the last minute and they need to sell their spot. In this case we will go down our waiting list to offer the opening first come, first serve. Email liz@liz-cook.com to be added to our waitlist.
