Every maternity session includes:
A personal planning and styling consultation
Access to the studio’s curated wardrobe for mothers
Gentle, flattering posing guidance
Your choice of a studio or outdoor setting (or both)
The option to include your partner and children
A collection of carefully edited, high-resolution photographs
Optional professional hair and makeup for studio sessions
With nearly two decades of experience photographing mothers and growing families, I understand how vulnerable it can feel to step in front of the camera during pregnancy. My role is to create an environment in which you feel comfortable, cared for, and confident—while making photographs that remain true to you.

Maternity sessions are typically photographed between 32 and 36 weeks of pregnancy. During this time, your belly is beautifully defined while you are usually still comfortable enough to enjoy the experience.
We recommend reserving your session during your second trimester. Booking early provides the best availability and gives us plenty of time to plan your location, wardrobe, and any professional hair and makeup services you would like to include.

Sessions may take place in my natural-light-inspired studio in Forest, Virginia, or outdoors in one of the fields, gardens, or mountain settings surrounding Lynchburg. We will help you select the setting that best complements your family and the way you would like your portraits to feel.

Absolutely. While we will create beautiful portraits of you individually, your partner and children are warmly invited to participate. These relationships are an important part of the story you are preserving.

No. You will have access to a thoughtfully curated wardrobe of dresses and fabrics selected specifically for maternity photography. During your styling consultation, we will choose pieces that photograph beautifully and help you feel comfortable and confident.

Most clients do at first. You will receive gentle direction throughout your session, from the placement of your hands to the smallest adjustments in posture. Nothing is left for you to figure out alone.
