The day after Christmas

Christmas 2012

Sunday is sound asleep...cuddling with her sock monkey under her fluffy blanket in her crib. Tommy is currently watching Seven Years in Tibet. The Christmas tree still sparkles and I am browsing the internet. Tomorrow we go back to the real world.

Tomorrow I have a session followed by packing for the most complicated trip of my life. In the next 10 days I will shoot three sessions and two weddings. I will celebrate Christmas with my family and say goodbye to my sister's family as they pack up and move to Colorado. I will fly to New Orleans and back again (with a toddler - on her first flight!). And I will hit up Trader Joe's on the way home.

I am feeling a weird sense of calm before the storm. I'm enjoying the last few minutes of our quiet Christmas at home. And when I wake up tomorrow I will dive into responsibility, creativity, and preparation.

I love this life!
