The Field location is about two miles from the studio, in the New London area. It offers glowing sunlight, lots of texture, and wide open spaces for your children to play!

The Studio Driveway
The Studio Driveway is lined with tall trees, fall foliage, and a smaller area ideal for a quick session with minimal distractions. We also have a big play set in the back yard to “reward” your children with after your session is complete.

The Manor
Three Oaks Manor is a small, private venue located in Amherst, VA. With a beautiful greenhouse, a unique cottage, and seasonal touches tailored specifically for photography sessions, your portraits are guaranteed to be beautiful!

Redwing Farm
Please note these photographs were taken in the spring and your portraits will have a more autumn-feel.
Redwing is a private property located in Bedford, VA. With a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, a vintage farm gate, and field space to play, this location offers a fresh space for your fall portraits.
This venue is approximately 20 minutes away from the studio.

Select the fall location, date and available time that works best for your family.
02. Reserve your appointment.
Complete your booking and pay the session retainer. Your remaining balance will be due one week before your session.
03. I’ll help you get ready.
Your preparation guide and session details will arrive by email so you’ll know exactly what to wear, where to go and what to expect.
04. Come enjoy your family.
Plan to arrive approximately 10 minutes early so everyone has a chance to settle in. Once we begin, I’ll guide you through the entire session—you don’t need to know what to do.
05. Relive it all.
Within approximately 2–3 weeks, you’ll receive your online proof gallery with 30+ beautifully edited images.
06. Choose your favorites—or keep them all.
Your session includes 15 high-resolution downloads of your choice. If narrowing them down feels impossible, you can upgrade to the Complete Gallery and keep every final image.
07. Print the ones you love.

where do you suggest we print our pictures?
We highly recommend ordering your prints directly from your online gallery to guarantee the best color and quality of prints! The prices are competitive to online ordering locations and the printer is one of the best printing companies in the nation. Your online gallery is the only place we can promise you will receive accurate color profiles and archival quality prints from your digital files provided by Liz.
do you give full rights to all of the images?
You will receive a link to download all of your images as well as a Limited Print Release form to use when you print your pictures. A Limited Print Release allows you to download all of the pictures and print them at your preferred print location. However, please note that printing your pictures at other locations may not provide the best color or print quality available. Liz Cook Photography is not responsible for poor prints from printing at outside locations. Liz Cook Photography will retain the full Copyrights which means you are not permitted to alter/edit the images, sell them, or submit them to any publications or contests without prior written approval from Liz Cook Photography.
what should we wear for these pictures?
You will receive your Exclusive Client Preparation Guide at the time of booking which includes wardrobe guidance. We recommend choosing comfortable, neutral clothing (as seen in the images above) for the most timeless look to your portraits.
i am afraid 20 minutes won’t be long enough for my family. can we extend the time?
The rates for our 2026 Fall Mini Sessions are good for our 20 minute mini sessions only. If you think you may need more time (if you want to include extended family members or have a young child who takes a little while to warm up), we recommend you book a Full Signature Session. your website says you are fully booked, is there anything we can do?
We typically sell out every year. We have a cap on our spots, and once this cap is reached, the calendar will close. If you missed out on booking, please e-mail us to join the waitlist. Sometimes we have a family needs to cancel at the last minute and they need to sell their spot. In this case we will go down our waiting list to offer the opening first come, first serve. Email liz@liz-cook.com to be added to our waitlist.
