- I'm in LOVE with the light I've had lately at fall sessions! The lack of humidity in the air and the auburn backdrop of the fall foliage is killing me... I'm giddy at every single session and am thoroughly enjoying fall portrait season! Plus, the fun families I'm getting to hang out with make it a little more fun, too. ;)
Working Mama
The blog has been kind of quiet because I've been busy living life.
For the first two years or so of Sunday's life (I guess she's not quite two, yet) I have thoroughly enjoyed having my thing. My photography, my business, my (tiny) social life. In fact, for a while those were the things saving me from the overwhelming reality that I was suddenly a mom - and 100% responsible for another little human.
New Website and a Giveaway!
Hello and welcome to my brand new website!!
This is a long time coming. A long, roller coaster ride, if I'm being honest! (And I'm always being honest around here.) But I am absolutely thrilled with how my new website turned out! This is nowhere near the direction I thought I'd be headed when I started this project over 7 months ago, but through a string of events and creative ebbs and flows, here it is.
Expecting Joy | Lynchburg Maternity Photographer
While I am busy shooting engagement sessions and weddings right now, which I love, I got excited to change things up a little this past week and spend some time with my friend Joy capturing a big milestone in her life. I love to photograph couples - whether it's a wedding day, an every-day, or a even a maternity session. This session was so much fun because they quickly adjusted to being in front of the camera and were able to just be real despite the fact that I was acting like a total paparazzi. We laughed so much during our time together! Joy and her family are expecting their third precious baby girl to join them in just a few weeks and I am so very excited for her! I love Joy because she is so real - she is real about the challenges of being a mom, the challenges of pregnancy, but also the blessings she has in her life. She is just so genuine - about it all - and that is a refreshing quality to find these days. I enjoy every chance we have to talk about life, balancing being work-at-home-moms, and plans for our futures. (Psst, Joy is the awesomeness behind The Goose Beary Shop!) I can't wait to meet her precious Tacy and watch as Joy makes the beautiful adjustment from work-at-home mom of two to work-at-home mom of three. I admire her so much!

This was a beautiful set up at Bliss: A Fine Wedding Fair. You are looking at the incredible talent of Amanda Gray (stylist), Amy Thornburg (florist), and Jennifer England (cake artist). Are they not an incredible trio?! And they are all local to Lynchburg. So beautiful.
