mrs. mary | lynchburg wedding photographer

I am knee-deep into wedding season and have a bazillion and one things to blog about. But first up, I have been super excited to blog about Mary's bridal portraits since 5 minutes after we finished her session back in early May! She married her sweetheart, Chris, this past Saturday so I can finally share my favorites from her session. Without further ado...

Angela | Fredericksburg Wedding Photographer

Angela was an absolutely stunning bride both during her bridal session and of course also on her wedding day. Here are a few of my favorite images from her bridal session a few weeks ago. Come back soon for the sneak peek of her and Doug's wedding that happened just this past Saturday!

Crystal George | Lynchburg Portrait Photographer

Meet my new friend, Crystal. Crystal has been a photographer here in Lynchburg for quite some time. While I had heard of her and seen her work, we had never connected before a few months ago. Enter Hill City Bride and the style shoot. Crystal came on as a part of the project management team when we were in need of someone who could draw (very) well. Crystal is an artist through and through, in fact she used to paint portraits before she was a photographer. I love that she was simply moving from one art medium to another when she decided to start shooting professionally. It is one of the things I respect about her (of many).

We got together a few weeks ago to shoot some new headshots. Below are a few of my favorites from our quick session together. She is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. :)

You can check out some of the pictures she took of me over on her blog.

I love her messy hair in that last pic!

Justin & Liz | Northern Virginia Wedding Photographer

I met up with Justin & Liz last weekend for their engagement session in downtown Fredericksburg. Shooting in the cold is always a little bit of a challenge, but these two were such great sports about  it. We were able to take a break from the session halfway through to warm up while also grabbing a bite to eat. Then we went back out to the streets of downtown Fredericksburg for an available light session. I love it when clients are willing to go for the available light shoot after dark! I think the low-light feel adds the perfect touch of romanticism to the whole session. :)

Here are a few of my favorites from our time together. I am so looking forward to their wedding this fall!

Mark & Kate | Richmond Wedding Photographer

You've seen them a little on Facebook and on the inspiring Hill City Bride blog, and now finally I am sooo excited to share with you guys this super fun and joyful day celebrating the marriage of Mark and Kate. Mark and Kate were married at Westover Hills United Methodist Church in Richmond, Virginia. Their reception followed just down the road at the Willow Oaks Country Club. Everything about their day was beautiful from the stunning bride, the charming groom, the love shared between their friends and family, the weather, the locations... all of it.

And on top of all the beauty surrounding the day... everyone had SO much fun! I will go ahead and let the pictures speak for themselves. (Big thanks to Sarah from Ampersand Photo for second shooting with us!)

More details of Mark and Kate's wedding can be viewed over on the inspiring Hill City Bride blog.
