The Cheatham Family | Lynchburg Family Photographer

My friend Heather is a fabulous wedding photographer. I had a great time shooting her family portraits - her boys totally know how to work the camera! :) Plus her excellent photography knowledge meant that she was more than willing to meet for a sunrise session. And we all know how much I love sunrise sessions. The lighting in these pictures makes me so giddy. Heather, I hope you love your family portraits as much as I do!

Katelyn and Grant | Warsaw Engagement Photographer

The first time Katelyn mentioned wheat and corn fields I knew our photographer/client match was one made in heaven. :) Katelyn and Grant come from farming families and they had no problem waking up in time for a sunrise session. We started the session off down by the water on Katelyn's family's land and ended it in a barn full of hay! Between the setting and the lighting, I felt like I was in a photographer's playground! Not to mention how EASY they made my job because they simply giggled, cuddled, and stole kisses during our time together. Perfect! I love their photos so much that I am going to share their engagement session in two parts. First up, a J. Crew couple:

Stay tuned for part II!!

Baby S, An update | Virginia Birth Photographer

I promised I'd keep you updated on Baby S. Her parents have been on a roller coaster ride and I've shared some of the updates, new prayer requests, and a few additional photos below. Updates on Baby S:

  • She has to stay an additional 6 days for more antibiotics. :(
  • She has been having apnea incidents that are very scary for everyone.
  • She was switched from an IV tube of nutrients to a feeding tube of breastmilk! Yippee!
  • Mama was able to have some skin-on-skin time with baby and held her in a "kangaroo" hold. They were in heaven!

Continued prayer requests for S, words from her mama:

  1. NO MORE APNEA INCIDENTS. This is HUGE. If she has another one it could set everything back a lot... not to mention they are terrifying.
  2. That the cultures would continue to grow NOTHING and stay that way until their "final day" of testing (this is as far out as 5 days for some).

I got a quick update from her mama that yesterday was an awesome day and she has great news to share - so your prayers are working!! Thank you so, so very much! Please also continue to keep S's parents in your prayers as this has been such a challenging time for them. <3 And some sweet, sweet pictures:
