Fall Portrait Sessions

What’s the Difference?

Booking opens for my fall session calendar on August 27th! I have 12 only openings available for fall mini sessions this year. One of the most common questions I have received recently is What Exactly is the Difference Between a Full Session and a Mini Session? Today I will be answering this question as well as a few other FAQs that have come through!

Let’s start by sharing what each session DOES include.

A Full Signature Session includes all of the following:

the exclusive client preparation guide
complimentary in-person consultation and session planning with Liz at the studio
complimentary use of the studio wardrobe
location of your choice within 20 miles of zip code 24551
40-60 minutes of shooting time with Liz
up to six people ($25 for additional persons)
45+ final high-resolution images delivered via digital download
online gallery for downloading images and purchasing prints
limited print release

The cost for a Full Signature Session is $650.

A Fall Family Mini Session includes all of the following:

the exclusive fall mini session preparation guide
20 min photography session with Liz at the studio driveway
20+ final high-resolution images
online gallery for downloading images and purchasing prints
limited print release

The cost for a Fall Family Mini Session is $300.

What’s the biggest difference between the two session types?

The biggest differences are that a full session includes more time, more images in your final gallery, and more one-on-one styling assistance.

In addition, with a Full Signature Session, clients are able to choose their location versus the Mini Session where the only location option is the Studio Driveway.

I am personally a little biased towards Full Signature Sessions because they have more time included which allows your family members to warm up a little more, since there is less pressure at the start of the session. This offers me the opportunity to capture a much larger variety of images which helps capture this season of your life in a more thorough and accurate way.

Check out two gallery examples below that show a quick snapshot of the larger variety of images captured at a Full Signature Session compared to the basic mages captured at a Mini Session. (These snapshots do not include every picture from the galleries, but instead a representation of the image variety available.)

How Do I Know Which Session Type is Best For Me?

The biggest question to ask as you make your decision is “What is my plan for these pictures when they are complete?”

Do you simply want a great set of photos to add to a holiday card this year? A mini session would be your best bet!

Do you want a full gallery of images with a large variety to choose from to use as holiday gifts, decorating your walls in your home, and possibly even put together a small album (the best holiday gift to yourself!)? Then a Full Signature Session is a better fit for you.

Are you feeling nervous about having your pictures taken and you would love to have someone help handle all of the details for you? What to wear, how to style yourself and your family, where to meet, etc.? Then a Full Signature Session is a better fit for you.

How Can I Move Forward With Booking My Session?

If you’d like to book a Fall Family Mini Session, make sure you are on our newsletter email list. This is SO important because the booking link doesn’t open until 10AM EST on August 27th and it goes to my email subscribers first. If you aren’t on the list, you will miss the opportunity to book a mini session.

If you would like to book a Full Signature Session, fill out my Contact form and my studio manager, Kate, will respond with all the information about how to get started!

I hope this helps you understand the difference between the two types of fall family sessions I am offering this year for families in the Lynchburg, VA area. Which type of session will you book this year? Please reach out and let me know! I would love to work with you at Liz Cook Photography to create portraits you will cherish for a lifetime!
