Sneak peek: Tyler & Alex | Montross Engagement Photographer

I absolutely love this time of year. I am doing engagement sessions left and right with my 2011 wedding clients and I LOVE it. 'Tis the season for portraits of love! It's so fun getting to know my clients and learning how each couple interacts both in everyday life and in front of my lens. My time with Tyler and Alex was no different. I'm not gonna lie - the location may have had me giddy as soon as I turned the corner to pull into the driveway (we did the session at Alex's childhood home). But then add in Alex's beautiful smile and Tyler's willingness to cuddle and kiss his lady as many times as I asked... oh, friends, that makes for one awesome session. I was so excited throughout this entire session and I had a hard time narrowing down my favorites for their sneak peek. But... I did... with plans to post their entire session in a few days.

So stay tuned for more from this fun couple!

Sneak Peek: Micah & Katie | Pennsylvania Wedding Photographer

This Saturday I traveled to Quakertown, PA to capture one of the most unique weddings I have had the opportunity to photograph. These two... they are my artsy/vintage couple of 2010. Their entire wedding (sans catering + photography) was DIY and I took so, so many pictures of details. The theme of the day was vintage and it was absolutely beautiful. Katie expressed (or stressed, rather) that photography was very important to the both of them and they gave us a lot of extra time for pictures on Saturday. By getting to know them a little better during the planning process, I was able to get a better idea of their style. I know these images are processed a little differently than my normal images, but I took into consideration their style while both shooting and editing these images and I think the pictures are so them. Katie and Micah... I have so many wonderful things to say about your big day! It was beautiful and SO, so full of love! I will save my words for your top 10 wedding post... for now... here is a quick sneak peek of your pictures!

Sneak Peek: Daniela and Zach | Fredericksburg Engagement Photographer

These two kicked off my 2010 Fall Season with an amazing session! :) So I am currently on the road for 10 days for two weddings and six sessions on the calendar. As you can imagine, my calendar is pretty packed. When Daniela texted me the night before her session and asked me what we should do if it rained, I had to go with my only option. I hesitantly suggested a session in the rain and to my surprise, they were totally up for it! We all came prepared with rubber boots, umbrellas, and extra changes of clothing. However, the rain moved on at the last minute and we had an absolutely gorgeous evening and a quiet location all to ourselves.

I couldn't have asked for a better way to start this super busy few weeks! Daniela and Zach, thanks for being so easy to work with and so willing to do what I asked. I can't wait for your wedding next May!

lil' miss blue eyes | Richmond, VA Child Photographer

You guys remember mr. baby blue eyes?  I didn't think I would ever meet another one with such beautiful blue eyes... until I met his cousin, sweet Olivia. She was a lovely bundle of joy during our quick session this morning! Here are a few of my favorites from the session: I am in LOVE with her pouty lips!

And her long eyelashes!

Olivia, where is your nose?

She is so beautiful. :)

Sneak peek: Jordan & Megan | Lynchburg Wedding Photographer

Friends! I feel like it has been forever since I have blogged! I have been swamped with projects around here and am hoping to get caught up on the blog within the next few weeks. As for right now, I am about to hit the road again for another wedding in Fredericksburg this weekend. So excited! But before I go, I wanted to get this sneak peek up for this lovely couple! They are preparing to head out on their honeymoon with another fun couple who is getting married tomorrow! (Isn't that the best idea?? They are BFFs and all going together! So cool!) Anyway, Jordan and Megan got married last weekend at Boonsboro United Methodist Church and I think I speak for all of the attendees that the weather was amazingly refreshing and a great reflection of the entire day. A lovely, refreshing wedding day with a TON of laughs and even more love. :) Seriously, guys, shooting weddings never gets old!!

Here are a few of our favorites:

I hope you all have a fab weekend!!
