It feels like only yesterday I was photographing this guy’s big brother in the hospital! I can’t believe already been more than two years since that first session with this family! I remember what a sweet and easy model Big Brother G was, so I’m not surprised at what a breeze sweet Fielder was to photograph this time around.
This past weekend was my 2nd Annual Celebrate Motherhood Client Appreciation event located here at our photography studio in Forest, Virginia. My heart is so full as I look back at the pictures from this event! What started as a fun marketing idea to help get the word out about my business, I quickly realized was an opportunity to celebrate and honor the mothers in my community as well as thank my clients for their support of my business.

This beautiful mama came to the studio early to have her makeup done by one of our exclusive makeup artists while her precious and happy baby boy sat contentedly in his carseat and observed all the happenings around him. Before she settled into the makeup chair, we went through a few different clothing options from the studio wardrobe and we narrowed down our options to the items you see below. Emily chose to style her own hair and all of the pieces of our preparation came together so beautifully!
When Heather first reached out to me for information about a maternity + newborn session collection, she had a lot of questions, but her biggest concerns were about what to wear. Heather has a more casual style but was interested in dressing up for this occasion. It didn't take her long to share her concerns about not being "very fashionable." And to be honest, she sounded a lot like myself! :) So we scheduled an in-person wardrobe consultation for her right away. She came into the studio and tried on a few dresses and also brought in a few pieces of her own favorite clothing. We worked together to create a plan for her maternity session wardrobe for her and her family that we were both excited about!
When she shared with me that she was expecting again I knew I just had to find a way to get her in front of my camera! I was so excited the day she came into the studio for her maternity session.
