back to school - from the clutch guide | published

I am kind of in love with paper. Like... all things paper. Especially pretty paper. I am that person that picks up a brochure or a marketing card just because it is pretty... even though I have no need for the service or product listed on the card. Oh yes. And I know I am not the only one who does it. Because... ladies... have you seen the clutch guide around town? I wouldn't be surprised if you haven't because everyone keeps taking them off of the shelves! I am so excited... so proud... so honored... to share with you all this new publication in town.

It... is... beautiful!!

the clutch guide - the girl's guide to everything essential

I am both honored to have my work featured in this debut publication and proud to be a part of this new resource for women.

And even more exciting...! Today my Back to School bag shoot is being featured over on the new The Clutch Guide blog. Ahhhh! Another blog to love?! You bet! Hop over and subscribe to the clutch guide's online publication. You don't want to miss all the cool giveaways they have lined up this month!

If you're not local - not to fear. There is an online version of the magazine so you can enjoy all the goodies, too! Check out my shoot, it starts on page 37.

Okay I feel like I am sounding like a commercial. But really... I am proud. And I am honored. And I really, really think everyone who picks up this magazine is going to genuinely enjoy the time they spend perusing the pages. :)

Published | Lynchburg Commercial Photographer

I am honored to share that I have had some of my commercial work published in the June issue of Bella Magazine. Let me tell you, it is super fun to pick up a publication only to see your work gracing the pages of it! June was Bella's Travel issue and I had a really fun time both at the Royal Tea Party as well as working with Kim from the Omniterrum in downtown Lynchburg. Be sure to grab the latest issue of Bella before it is replaced by the July issue to see some of my commercial work and read the fun and informative articles about traveling around the world! And stay tuned for some August publication announcements coming up in mid-July. I am SO very excited about them! :)

Sneak Peek: Miss Addison | Fredericksburg Baby Photographer

Ahhh what an easy model Miss Addison was! As always, I had a great time with her family and capturing her personality at this stage of her life. She just smiled away and gave me lots of fun expressions to photograph. I giggle as I go through her pictures from her session - you can just see her joy and innocence beaming through her smiles! Here are a few of my favorite photos to hold mom and dad over while I finish up the rest.

look at this face!! makes me laugh every time! haha :)

Sneak peek: Nicole | Lynchburg Portrait Photographer

Hello and happy Thursday to you! I am on a roll here in the office - editing sessions left and right and getting a number of other things taken care of. One recent session I did was with my new friend, Nicole. When she called me and told me her vision for her session, I began leaning more and more towards a portrait / head shot feel with my ideas. I love doing these kinds of portraits for actors, musicians and the like. I wanted to post some of my favorites from my session with Nicole to share with my blog readers what exactly a head shot session looks like. The goal is usually to end up with a small handful of images to be used professionally - to attach to resumes or place on website profiles. Nicole had a variety of clothing options and a natural gift for modeling for the camera. No, seriously, I didn't have to say much to get the variety of looks and images I captured. She was a total natural in front of the camera! We had a fab time hanging out and even ended up splitting the session into two days (after a coffee break on the first day, no less!).
