302 Newborn Toes

18 Spring Mini Sessions

Every year, I love to reflect and recognize all that has been accomplished with Liz Cook Photography. It’s so easy to get caught up in the daily tasks and the goals-not-met, that it is such a healthy and anticipated task to take a birds eye view at the past year.

Thanks to the help of my amazing Studio Manager, Kasey, finding the numbers and data from 2025 was much easier than years before! Below is a look at 2025 at Liz Cook Photography, told through numbers, memories, and a whole lot of gratitude.

The Big Picture

In 2025, I photographed 183 sessions — each one representing a family, a season, a milestone, or an event that should never be forgotten.

  • 69% of sessions took place in the studio

  • 31% happened outdoors during golden-hour sunset sessions

It was a perfect balance, allowing the time and light freedom the studio gives to fill in the gaps when the sunset wasn’t quite as glowy or the toddlers were a little too sleepy.

Sessions by the Numbers

Here’s how the year unfolded:

  • 6 maternity sessions

  • 28 newborn sessions

  • 7 family sessions

  • 4 Baby’s First Year collections

  • 63 mini sessions (fall, spring, and motherhood)

  • 50 Santa sessions

  • 1 new session type launched (Back to School Minis)

  • 2 new products launched (Accordion Minis + Holiday Ornaments)

  • total images downloaded & sorted through: 74k+

  • total images edited & delivered: 12k+

I photographed 59 families with a baby under one and captured 122 siblings together for the very first time — moments that feel ordinary in the moment but become priceless over time.

The farthest family traveled? A lot of my clients are either new to the area or are visiting. This year, the furthest client came from Sugar Land, Texas (with Philadelphia, PA coming in a close second). (Thanks, Anne!)

Returning Faces & New Stories

One of the very best parts of my job is watching families grow year after year.

  • 130 returning clients

  • 53 new clients

Thank you for coming back. Thank you for finding me. Thank you for trusting me!

Privacy, Consent & Trust

This year:

  • 21% of families requested full privacy

  • 79% allowed me to share their images

Some stories are meant to be shared — and I’m grateful for the trust placed in me when families say yes. Others are meant to be kept private — and I consider it my responsibility to safeguard those faces and memories.

Consent is never assumed at LCP. Every session I shoot requires sharing your privacy preferences before the contract is complete.

Behind the Scenes (The Real Work)

  • 183 client galleries delivered

  • 200+ cups of tea consumed while editing

  • 17 times I reminded my kiddos not to come into the studio while I was shooting

  • 12k+ total images edited and delivered

The Fun Stuff

  • 28 newborns = 280 baby toes photographed in the studio (302 if you count hospital sessions!)

  • 150+ “just one more!” moments

  • 20+ dads who secretly enjoyed the session

  • countless toddler giggles, escapes, or snack negotiations

  • 15+ snacks hidden just outside the frame (some of them are hidden inside the pictures, too!)

  • 100+ times I said, “Oh my gosh, this is so perfect.” (even out-loud while editing - haha!)

Studio Favorites

  • Favorite baby blanket: Quince muslin cotton

  • Favorite backdrop: One Willow hand-painted backdrop (Motherhood Minis)

  • Most-requested studio wardrobe: Baltic Born dresses

  • 46 mamas wore something from the studio wardrobe

  • 208~ bows, curls, and hems adjusted

Growth, Gratitude & Perspective

  • 37 first-time moms

  • 13.9K likes across 69 instagram posts

The most impactful session this year was photographing the birth of a baby who was not expected to live long. Being invited into that space — to help preserve memories that family will hold forever — is something I will never take lightly.

The biggest lesson I learned (again) this year: My business works best when my life works, first. <3

Above all, the thing I hope every family felt when they left my studio was seen, cared for, and prioritized.

Thank you for trusting me with your stories.
